In The Field

Six Machines. One Shoulder Doing The Holding.

Anything held out in front of you loads the same shoulder. The Yeoman Rig goes on before the work starts.

The Whole Difference

Over The Shirt, Not Under It.

Most shoulder supports are cut for a short indoor session against bare skin. The Yeoman Rig is built for a long-sleeve work shirt, outdoor heat and the full length of the job.

How This One Is Cut

Over The Shirt

Two adjustment points let it tighten over fabric instead of relying on skin contact. Put it on with your clothes on, before you pull the cord.

How The Aisle Is Cut

Under The Shirt

A sensible fit for a short indoor session. Not the same brief as clearing a hedge line in August.

The Mechanism

It Was Never Your Shoulder.

A trimmer may feel light at your side. But that is not where you use it. You hold it in front of you, arm extended, for the length of the job.

The farther out it sits, the more load lands on the shoulder holding it there. Add one-sided repetition and constant vibration, and an ordinary machine becomes a long static hold.

Your shoulder is not weak. It has been doing the same dead hold, on the same side, under vibration, every weekend.

Who It Was Drawn For

Built For The Yard. Not The Waiting Room.

Most braces are shown on young athletes in clean indoor spaces. They are made for a different job.

The Yeoman Rig is for heat, dust, long sleeves and a machine held away from the body for as long as the work takes.

It is built around the working position, not a recovery pose.

What It Actually Does

Built For The Man Holding The Machine.

The Hold-Up

Contoured compression across the deltoid and upper arm, warmth for cold starts and a closer feel for the working position.

One Side. Every Time.

The same shoulder carries the machine each session. Choose the side that takes the load and put the Rig on before the work.

The Journeyman Cut

Adjustable at the shoulder and chest, generous through a working frame and shaped not to bind with the arm extended.

Goes over a work shirt, which is the whole point

Every other one I looked at wants to sit on bare skin. In the heat that is a non starter. This one cinches down over the shirt and stays where I put it.

Took one session to get the tension right

First time out I had it too loose and it crept down my arm. Ten seconds on the chest strap sorted it. Spend a minute adjusting before you start and you are fine.

Two pairs, one set stays in the truck

Set at the house and a set in the truck for my mother in law's place. At that tier it was cheap enough I did not have to think about it.

Worth it for the ditch bank alone

Two acres with a ditch bank that eats a whole morning. Shoulder used to be cooked by the halfway point.

Bought it for my husband

He will not stop doing the yard, so the least I could do was make it hurt him less. He wore it Saturday and did not lay down after, which is new.

5 foot 3 and the trimmer is not built for me

My husband passed and the yard is mine now. His trimmer is long and heavy. The strap adjusts down small enough that it actually fits me, which I did not expect.

Got Questions?

Everything You Need To Know.

Which shoulder should I choose?
Choose the shoulder that carries the machine. For many right-handed trimmer operators that is the right shoulder because the throttle and engine end sit on that side. If unsure, pick up your tool exactly as you normally use it and notice which shoulder is doing the holding.
Can I wear the Yeoman Rig over a work shirt?
Yes. That is the intended fit. The shoulder cap and chest strap adjust separately so the Rig can cinch down over a long-sleeve work shirt or light jacket. It can also be worn under a layer if preferred.
How tight should it feel?
Secure and supportive, but not restrictive. Adjust the shoulder cap first, then the chest strap. You should be able to move and breathe normally without the Rig sliding down the arm. Loosen it immediately if you feel numbness, tingling or restricted circulation.
What does the compression cap actually do?
The contoured cap provides even compression and warmth across the shoulder and upper arm while you hold a fixed working position. It may also help damp some tool vibration. It is a work support, not a device that locks the joint in place or treats an injury.
Can I use it with tools other than a string trimmer?
Yes. The same working position appears with hedge trimmers, chainsaws, leaf blowers, pressure-washer wands and similar tools held away from the body. Always follow the tool manufacturer's safety guidance.
Will it fit me?
The Journeyman Cut runs generously and adjusts at both the shoulder cap and chest strap. It is available for either the left or right shoulder. Set the side and quantity in the native Shopify product options above this section.
What is covered by the guarantee?
You have a 90-day money-back window with no restocking fee. The hardware warranty covers normal-use failures of the stitching, buckle and closures for the life of the product.
Is the Yeoman Rig a medical device?
No. It is a compression support designed for work. It does not diagnose, treat or repair an injury. If you have an acute injury, persistent pain, weakness, numbness or a diagnosed shoulder condition, speak with a qualified health professional before use.
